Helping people feel better is my goal.

Hello, I'm Audra.  Thanks for taking a few moments to stop by the website to learn a little more about me and Hawk's Nest Counseling.   I earned a Bachelor's degree from North Carolina State University in Psychology, a Master's degree in School Counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University and a Specialist degree in Counseling from the University of West Alabama.  I am a fully licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.  I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Certified Professional Counseling Supervisor (CPCS.)  I have worked in education since 1996 at both the elementary and middle school levels,  20 of those years have been in counseling.

I live with my family on Hawk's Nest Farm.  I had a dream to open a counseling center on a farm so we recently moved to Lula to make that dream a reality.  In addition to counseling, my family and I raise animals, grow food and connect with nature.  The farm setting allows me to incorporate the tranquility of the farm into our counseling sessions.  Clients experience  a unique counseling setting in a serene, natural environment.  If appropriate, we may talk through our sessions while visiting with the Nigerian dwarf goats, my therapy dog, Lugz, chickens, cows or even just talking while enjoying the calmness of the 11 acres of nature.

I'm excited to announce the counseling practice is expanding!  To better serve the community in a more timely manner, I am grateful to have added two additional counselors in July 2022, Erica Henderson and Lera Harben.

Welcome to Hawk's Nest Counseling.
